Yes. Order by 5 PM Monday to Friday, or by 1 PM on Saturday, and your sunflowers are designed in our Doral studio and delivered the same day. Sunday delivery runs 9 AM to 1 PM for orders placed by 1 PM on Saturday. You can also pick up at our shop, 7276 NW 58th St in Doral.

How long do sunflowers last in a vase?

Cut sunflowers usually last 6 to 12 days, depending on the variety and the care they get. To get the most out of yours, recut the stems under water, change the water every 2 to 3 days, remove any leaves below the waterline, and keep the vase in a cool, bright spot away from direct sun and heat. That is the care the University of Illinois Extension recommends for cut flowers.

What do sunflowers mean as a gift?

Sunflowers stand for warmth, loyalty and admiration, which makes them a gift for birthdays, thank-yous, get-well wishes and friends who make your day brighter. The loyalty symbol comes from the young plant, which turns to follow the sun across the sky. Once the flower opens, the head stops moving and faces east for good, as researchers showed in Science in 2016.

Are sunflowers safe for cats and dogs?

Yes. The ASPCA lists sunflowers as non-toxic to dogs, cats and horses. A pet that chews a lot of petals or leaves may get a mild upset stomach, so keep the arrangement out of reach. It is one of the few gift flowers you can send to a home with pets without worry.

Do sunflowers make a good bouquet for men?

Yes. A bold, all-yellow arrangement like the Sunflower Box or the Sunflowers Grand Hat Box works for a birthday, a promotion or a get-well message for him, and it reads as cheerful rather than romantic. Every order includes a printed card with your message.

Can you mix sunflowers with roses?

Yes. Our Roses & Sunflowers Hand Bouquet pairs sunflowers with roses and comes in several sizes, from $90. If you want a different color of rose or a larger version, tell us when you order and we design it for you.

Are sunflowers available all year in Miami?

Yes. My Divine Decors works with fresh sunflowers every month of the year, not only in summer, so any sunflower arrangement in this collection can be ordered any day we deliver.
