How to Choose a Florist in Miami: 6 Questions to Ask Before You Pay

When you take your father’s old watch in for repair, you don’t ask who charges the least. You ask whose hands it will be in.
Flowers work the same way, and almost nobody asks. Miami has a flower shop every few blocks, and nearly all of them show you the same pretty photo. What they don’t show you is everything that happens between your order and the door: who builds your arrangement, what it rides in, how much heat it takes on the way, and whether anyone tells you when it arrived. That is where the moment is won or lost. These are the six questions we would ask before paying any florist in Miami, ourselves included.
Who actually carries your flowers to the door?
It is the question that tells you the most about a flower shop. Many shops build the order and hand it to a delivery app or a courier that moves every kind of package. The arrangement rides between other drops, and the driver has no idea that a tall box of roses cannot lean into a turn.
It is not only us saying it. In September 2026, a Miami flower shop asked on Reddit for a delivery service recommendation, because the heat was damaging its arrangements on the way and the taller pieces were arriving knocked around. One of the answers was short: they had tried them all, none could be fully trusted, and now someone on their own staff delivers.
At My Divine Decors it has been that way from the start. Our own drivers delivered more than 540 orders from this website across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach from January to September 2026, and not one went out through an app.
How do flowers survive the Miami heat on the way?
A car parked under the Miami sun turns into an oven within minutes. An arrangement that spends an hour like that can look fine in the delivery photo and still arrive cooked: two days later it is already falling apart. So ask what it travels in. Our fleet includes a refrigerated van, so the flowers leave our cooler and arrive cold at the door, August included.
Ask how the arrangement arrives, too. Roses that arrive closed keep opening at home for several days; an arrangement that arrives fully open is already at its peak and can only go down from there. And if what you want is for it to still be there months from now, preserved roses last more than a year without water.
Can I see the arrangement before it leaves?
Very often the person ordering will not be at the door. They are at the office, in another city or in another country, and all they have is the catalog photo and the hope that it looks like that.
Ask for a photo of your arrangement, not the catalog’s. We send you a photo of your finished piece before it leaves the studio, and the driver sends another one from the door. That is how our white glove flower delivery works, and it is the same for a small bouquet as for a box of one hundred roses.
What time can I order for delivery today?
Ask for the real cutoff, not the one in the ad. At My Divine Decors you can order for same-day delivery until 5:00 PM Monday to Friday and until 1:00 PM on Saturday. For in-store pickup, until 4:00 PM. After 5:00 PM on a weekday, call or WhatsApp us at (305) 562-4900 and we will see what is still possible today.
On Sundays we deliver from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a $30 charge, if you order before 1:00 PM on Saturday. The fee for each zone is listed on our delivery areas page.
Does the florist have a studio in Miami, or just a website?
Many national flower websites have no studio in Miami. They take your order and pass it to a local shop in their network, which builds it with whatever it has that day. That is why the arrangement that shows up sometimes looks nothing like the photo, and why no one can tell you who made it.
Ask where the studio is. Ours is at 7276 NW 58th St in Doral. That is where Jessica and her team design every piece, and where every delivery leaves from. We never pass your order to another flower shop.
What do people who already ordered say?
What customers write is worth more than anything a flower shop says about itself, ours included. My Divine Decors holds a 4.9 on Google with 260+ reviews, and Aventura Magazine readers voted us best florist in Best of Aventura 2026. Read them before you decide, and read the reviews of any other option you are considering too.
Why choosing well still matters
There was a time when every flower said something, and picking the wrong one meant saying what you did not mean. Jessica tells the story in this video, in Spanish.
Choosing a florist is choosing who will hold your gesture during the hours you cannot see. Make it someone who will take care of it the way you would.
