A high-end floral order carries two very different logistics problems, and most guides blur them together. A fresh arrangement is a perishable object with a designed shape that has to survive a route measured in hours. A preserved rose arrangement is a finished piece that can travel for days inside a box. A florist who treats those two as the same service is telling you something about how the work will arrive.

This guide covers what to check before ordering luxury florals for shipping across the country, and what to check before ordering same-day in a local market. My Divine Decors is a floral boutique in Miami that runs both, and the operating detail below is ours, published so you can compare it against any other shop.

Nationwide Luxury Floral Delivery

The question is not whether they ship. It is what happens to your order after you pay. Most nationwide delivery of fresh flowers runs through a floral network: the order is routed to a shop near the recipient and rebuilt by a designer who never saw the photo you bought from. What arrives is that shop’s interpretation, not the arrangement you chose.

The alternative is a boutique that ships its own work. My Divine Decors sends wrapped hand bouquets anywhere in the United States by FedEx Priority Overnight, built and packed in the Miami studio and handed straight to the carrier. One night in transit instead of several is what makes shipping fresh flowers workable at all. Our packing room keeps an honest list of which flowers ship well and which never leave Miami. It is also why we do not ship vase or hat box designs: the vessel is part of the composition and a shipping box cannot hold it.

What travels beyond bouquets. Preserved roses are real roses, cut at their peak and treated with a non-toxic preservation process. They last more than a year without water. Our lead designer, Jessica, selects the most beautiful ones available, from Ecuador or Colombia. Because there is no water and no stem metabolism, the piece that leaves the boutique is the piece that arrives, which makes preserved florals the reliable answer for long-distance gifting that should last. Preserved roses, gift boxes, chocolates and teddy bears ship by FedEx or UPS and usually arrive within 3 to 5 business days.

Transit time and the shipping calendar. Wrapped bouquets ship FedEx Priority Overnight and arrive the next business day. They leave the studio Tuesday through Friday, and the cutoff is 12:00 PM on the day they ship, so an order placed after Friday at noon goes out the following Tuesday and arrives Wednesday. We ship to every state.

That calendar is worth reading twice, because it is where most nationwide floral orders go wrong. The promise is next business day from the ship date, not from the moment you pay.

Same-Day Delivery for Luxury Arrangements

Where fresh arrangements go the same day. My Divine Decors delivers same-day across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, plus Key Largo and Islamorada. The route is run by our own drivers, which is what allows the next part.

The cutoff times, in full:

On Mother’s Day, and on Valentine’s Day when it falls on a Sunday, we deliver from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM with no Sunday fee.

The delivery window. At checkout the customer picks a delivery window. It is a required field. Monday to Friday the windows are 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 3:00 to 7:00 PM and 7:00 to 11:00 PM, the last one with $30 added. Saturday runs 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 12:00 to 2:00 PM and 3:00 to 7:00 PM, and Sunday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We deliver inside the window chosen. We do not promise an exact minute, because the driver runs a route and traffic is real.

For a gift that has to land at an office before a meeting, or at a restaurant before a reservation, that window is the whole service. It is worth asking any florist whether they offer one, and whether it costs extra. Choosing a window costs nothing with us, except the 7:00 to 11:00 PM weekday window, the Saturday 3:00 to 7:00 PM window and Sunday, which carry $30.

Zone rates. Local delivery is charged by zone, not by order value: $35 in Doral, $50 in Miami, $60 for the beaches and Broward, $180 for Palm Beach. Sales tax applies to the arrangement, not to the delivery fee.

What same-day costs at the low end. Handcrafted pieces start at $30 for a small box, and a high-end piece under $150, such as the Bouquet of Lush Ranunculus from $99 or the Ramo Buchon hand bouquet of 12 roses from $80, goes out on the same route and inside the same delivery window as a 100-rose box. How long do preserved roses last?
More than a year without water. They are real roses treated with a non-toxic preservation process, selected by our lead designer, Jessica, among the most beautiful available from Ecuador or Colombia. They should stay in their display box, away from direct sunlight and heat, and should never be watered.
